Shooting star

2014-07-28 20.26.28

We were so beautiful
Seven women under the jeweled night sky
Our bare throats raised to the sudden silver streak of a shooting star
Our stardusted hearts opening so far and wide and high

On that far flung white pebbled beach
We had outrun the neon blinding and habit’s numbing reach
Wildly alive and daring we let our longings roam
Far beyond the boundaries of what we dare to dream at home

Free we were
Next to the silky sea’s lapping
Bright and light enough to make our own song
Cleansed and clear enough to hear our strong inner tapping
Of what is needed and of what is right and what is wrong

Together under that blazing star we sighed
And made our wishes to be heeded
But i am sure that in time we will come to know
That together on Tokmaki island, we already had all we ever needed.
